It’s the first Stranger Things bike to feature dual brakes, though they were slow to engage and the levers mongoose fat tire bike were hard to pull. Overall, it looks cool, and you can ride it, but don’t expect a high-performance BMX bike. While I momentarily felt like a kid again riding Max’s bike, I could tell that it was not designed with me in mind.

It’s the same size as the L40 at 20.5-inches but the handlebars are bigger (1” wider and 0.75” taller). It also has an integrated head tube which means a stronger frame. The rims are also wider, which not only makes them stronger but also less prone to pinch flats on hard landings. Still making bikes today, they have seen it all thru the years. Its top-tube length is 20-inches long which makes it perfect for riders above approximately 155cm. The Legion L80 is designed for taller riders because it uses a 20.75-inch top tube which will suit riders from around 5’8” tall. It’s the first BMX in the range to use a 4130 Chromoly steel front triangle.
