This blog revlon colorstay lipstick is doing double duty as a Gabe’s haul! If you are not familiar, Gabe’s is a discount store much like TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Ross. Often, their makeup finds are discontinued or random brands you have never heard of before. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a display of Revlon. On the display was 18 lipsticks in three finishes, and six lip liner options. I went crazy and bought one of everything!
The revlon lipstick formula is vibrant, lightweight and infused with a luxurious blend of agave, moringa oil and cupuacu butter. This botanical blend will instantly hydrate your lips for a velvety smooth finish in a just one swipe. There’s no denying that these lipsticks are incredibly pigmented. They apply so smoothly with a balmy feel that adds high impact color in one swipe.
It’s very sturdy and I love the fact it’s matte. It’s quite expensive for a drugstore lipstick, I paid 8,81 € in Ilirija, but the quality is simply amazing. The swatches evidence that these lip liners have a matte formula. I found them very difficult to wash off as they really adhere to the skin, which is good to support the claims!
The day Revlon Super Lustrous comes out with a more blue based red , will be the day I stop using this one and use that one instead. Super Lustrous Lipstick uses LiquiSilk technology to create an ultra-moisturizing formula in shades that flatter any skin tone and glide on silky smooth. I was pretty happy with how these stayed put through talking, drinking and eating. While they’re not completely transfer-proof or smudge-proof, I was still left with a considerable amount of color on the lips by the end of the day . After about 5-6 hours, I did notice slight feathering at the edges of my lips, but only when up really close.
The Matte line claims to provide full-coverage color that feels supple and smooth on the lips. The formula is infused with various botanicals, including agave, moringa oil, and capuacu butter. Application should be easy with the precise bullet shape. I was expecting a clear red with blue tones for some reason, however, it’s more of an orange-red. Nice lightweight feel on the lips, matte but not drying. Revlon’s Super Lustrous line is famously formulated with moisturizing vitamin E and avocado oil for a creamy feel.

This color is stunning, but it get into the fine lines of the lips.
As for the color, it contains microfine pigments to provide vibrancy and a high-impact. The formula should be creamy, lush, lightweight, and moisturizing. The two key ingredients are vitamin E and avocado oil, which attribute to the buttery and hydrating feeling. Finally, these lipsticks should not cake.
