Maybe I got a bad one but I would not buy if I could do it over. The 32 years old is mainly known for the production of components, high-end competitive BMX frames. The founder, Clay Goldsmid, was himself a former BMX pro.

I made a few minor changes to the hyper bike, but they still work well. Dual suspension absorbs bumps well, making the ride smoother on gravel and trails. I previously owned a murtisol bike, which had been a shambles since day one.

Like rockshox they entry level garbage on up… Their air spring forks are comparable to RS models like the XC32s, Judy Golds and Recon models. I simply used that brand as an example of a better choice to buy than a bottom end RS as you’re not paying an artificial premium for the Rockshox labels.

It’s worth noting that we’ve heard from Hyper that they are gearing up to sell these bikes on a number of occasions, but this is the first time we’ve been given such concrete signs that it is imminent. I just wish my old bike had the suspension components that the Hyper Shocker has – because it’s a much more comfortable ride as soon as you adjust the main shock absorber to your comfort level. The Hyper mountain bike’s suspension system is very different from the typical suspension systems found on many other hybrid road and mountain bike systems.

It rides great on street but also is a beast in the off-road trails. I have been putting it through the paces and I am a heavy rider. I have tested several other bikes and the Himiway is at the top and is my go to bike at the moment. The front suspension works pretty well in eating up and road chatter and even better in the trails with roots and whatnot.
