I spend a great deal of time on the water every summer boating and fishing in Northern Michigan. Deep cleaning this lid is not impossible, but it takes effort, attention to detail, and a straw-cleaning brush (to scrub the interior of the straw). Airplanes, trains, and other modes of public transportation are not known for cleanliness, and you may prefer not to have your tumbler’s straw exposed at all times.
