Genesis Bikes

Generally made from steel and titanium, these are typically equipped with 26- or 29-inch wheels. Full or dual suspension bikes are regarded as the all-rounder – a very comfortable ride with the rear suspension improving genesis bicycles cornering, braking, and climbing grip. But they’re a bit heavier, more expensive, and complicated to design and build. This leads to an added element of upkeep as more parts generally mean more maintenance.

Whether you opt for the versatility of the Genesis V2100 Mountain Bike or the rugged endurance of the Genesis GS29, you’re in for a top-notch cycling experience. The Fugio 10 is very adaptable, taking two wheel sizes and offering 16 mounting points (no under downtube mounting points on the Fugio 10, but these are found on the Fugio 20 and 30, taking the mounting points to 18). This means there are plenty of mounting options to suit different bottle / frame bag sizes and also mounts on the fork legs for cages as well as top tube mounts for a bolt on top tube bag, which is a much better solution for a gravel bike. We’ve partnered with Freewheel as a solution to offer Genesis bikes online whilst supporting local bike shops at the same time.

We’re always looking out for keen riders who are planning trips so we are open to receiving sponsorship proposals to consider. In collaboration with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, we have rated bike helmets using the STAR evaluation system. Our impact tests evaluate a helmet’s ability to reduce linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of head impacts a cyclist might experience. Helmets with more stars provide a reduction in concussion risk for these impacts compared to helmets with less stars. The Local Overnighters Project is a unified effort to document and map one-night bikepacking routes all over the world—by locals, in their own backyards.

With so many different variables this is an impossible question for us to answer properly! Please do head over to your local Genesis dealer to talk through price points, intended genesis bicycles use and of course compatibility with the rest of your set-up. We may be able to supply a digital file of the decal you need but you will need to prove you own the bike.

Because of these factors, for mountain biking, which involves lots of braking, mechanical disc brakes are only found on very entry level price points, with most mountain bikes relying on the superior performance of hydraulic disc brakes. Last but not least, all of these bikes were designed for use with drop bars. Yes, drops can be slapped on any mountain genesis bike bike, but they shouldn’t be. For instance, most MTBs have a geometry with a much longer reach, and generally don’t fit as well with drop bars. Conversely, a few of these bikes have some road bike characteristics—shorter wheelbase, 68mm bottom bracket shell, road drivetrain or brakes, and tires labeled 700c, but all of them are made to play in the dirt.
