This is one of those products where the instructions are basically a complete fantasy. They make one false unstated assumption after another. And even then, they’re not simple. What you wind up with is a web of pipes and plastic pieces that falls apart at one end as you assemble the other. Then the instructions start to get really funny. ‘Insert the leg poles into the hubs to raise the screenhouse frame’ got the first laugh.
The were never opened by the seller. We have only been using one since. After a pretty bad storm at the beach, a few of the poles broke…so we are moving onto the next new one and selling the first for parts. It is of poor design, in that this could be avoided using 2 more yellow, curved roof poles which would not allow the rain to puddle on the roof. My husband and I were in the screen room, keeping the rain from puddling for more than a half hour.
One mad idea often begets another, and that is how this $34.95 purchase came about. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere in the blog, I’m getting married in Joshua Tree on August 2nd, outdoors. Shade can be a matter of survival there if you’re outside at midday. Then I started having other wild fantasies, like effectively adding a room to the desert shack where I live by erecting the shadehouse in the backyard. Wasn’t even able to get the tent set up in a mild wind before one of the corner plastic parts broke. I have purchased outdoor sporting goods from Coleman and they not only have much better products, but they stand behind what they sell.
Just had to comment after reading these old reviews of folks who couldn’t seem to set it up without either A. This model has been discontinued and I only need two parts to fix it.
Some middle sections fell out but I had a standing frame of sorts, swaying and wobbling. ozark trail canopy The screen is great for nice weather. It gives great shade and it keeps flies out.
An absolute waste of money and time, and cost plenty of aggravation. Find something simple to set up, reliable, durable and with product support. Great product, however, like everyone else, unable to locate replacement parts.
After setting it up, it seems to me folks just don’t know how to exercise a little common sense and patience. The overall construction is about what you expect for the price. Browse Ozark Trail’s top-rated hiking and camping gear and more. My experience with Ozark Trail equipment has been to reinforce the old adage “you get what you pay for”. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a good screen house spend the additional money and get a Swiss Gear. Don’t try to save a few dollars and end up with a POS like this one.

The screening and roof are all in excellent condition, along with all the poles, etc. With two more roof poles, I’m sure this could be prevented.
