Depending on the components that you have it can be expensive. I paid R3260 to replace the whole 2 x 10 Shimano drivetrain including the front and rear brake pads. Which sounds like a lot of money until you look at the price of a new SRAM GX cassette, lol.
There is a low level shimano hydraulic disc brake kit that is SO NICE compared to the cable disc brakes. I did it to both of the maluses. He did a good video recently on some more budget parts (including hydraulic disc brakes) as well as he has been playing with a Walmart MTB recently. I bought 2 mongoose malus’ses. The stock brakes kinda suck too so I was thinking about upgrading to Shimano hydraulic brakes in the future. Only thing you’d need to retain is the same cassette (for chain length and gearing compatibility) Hub width, axle size and disc size. Is “mullet” in this context referring to wheel size?
