Ozark Trail 9 Person 2 Room Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room Reviews

This no-nonsense tent is intuitive to set up, has mesh on the top halves of two walls, includes a partial rain fly that’s easy to put on and stake out, and feels cheery inside and out. (We don’t recommend the smaller version of this tent for couples who might actually take it on the road; it was just too flimsy in our tests.) Also note that this tent does not come with its own groundsheet. Coleman says that the tent doesn’t need one, probably because its floor is a crinkly (though tough) tarp-like polyethylene, not a taped-seam polyester as in our other picks. The Wawona 6 is more complex to set up than a classic dome-style tent like the Wireless 6, but not by much. We recommend doing it with two people, but one person can manage in about 15 minutes. As with any free-standing tent, with this one you stake out the four corners, and then you feed the two main tent poles through the Wawona’s fabric sleeves, which go halfway down the tent’s body.

Like the Mineral King 3, the Tungsten 4 has a mesh canopy, though the opaque polyester part of its walls go higher, and provide more privacy, than the Mineral King’s. The Tungsten’s fly is not adaptable in the same way the Mineral King 3’s is, but it is treated for extra UV protection, which should help lengthen the tent’s lifespan. Easy to set up and pack away, the Mineral King 3 is a lightweight, two-door tent with a generous footprint and a sturdy dome shape. Unfortunately, the steel pole in the back of the tent did not lock into position, so this tent is defective.

The Ozark Trail 16′ x 16′ Instant Cabin Tent sleeps 12 and can be set up in under 2 minutes. It requires no assembly because the poles are pre-attached to the tent. This 12-person tent is ideal for an outdoor family gathering so you can enjoy nature no matter the weather. This 3-room cabin-style tent has large windows on all sides and room to stand up with a maximum 6’10” center height. This ozark trail shower tent tent features a large front awning for relaxing under the shade.

No Ozark Trail tent is perfect, but as far as full-size family camping tents go, this is the one to beat. In the above pictures, you saw what this Coleman 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent looked like with all the windows open. Also, it’s not completely opaque, and you can actually see quite a bit through it.

The Tungsten’s two brow poles create an especially effective awning over the tent door, so very little water gets in when someone comes or goes. The rain fly hangs over the room as well, so you can stay outdoors while it’s raining. Purchasing a large footprint for the entire size of the tent will provide a solid floor for ozark trail canopy tent keeping the screen room tidy. Make sure to stake it down properly to avoid any incidents during windy conditions. The tent itself is nice and roomy, and boasts a 6-foot peak height to make changing clothes a drama-free endeavor. If you can afford to spend more on a family tent, we recommend The North Face Wawona 6.
