Ozark Trail Sleeping Bag and Air Bed reSettled Life

This 19-inch-tall queen air mattress has 40 internal air coils to evenly support the weight. A flocked top adds to the nice appearance and comfortable feel of this mattress. It’s also equipped with a built-in pump that assists with inflation and deflation functions, but it should be noted that the pump could have worked more quickly. It took seven minutes to fully inflate this queen air mattress, which is longer than others with a built-in pump. While deflating the mattress was also slow, the deflate function on the pump made it a simple process. Once packed into the included carry bag, we found it to be very convenient to carry and store.

I could have gotten better quality from a teenager’s home ec project and lighter weight. The bag uses Climatech fill, a down alternative, making it very light. The roomy bag, 33 inches ozark trail screen house wide by 75 inches long, rolls up to a compact 14 by 8 inches. Made with soft polyester, the outer layer being a diamond ripstop material, the bag is both comfortable and durable.

We happily backpacked for multiple nights at a time with this bag but noted we needed an extra blanket to stay warm when temperatures were in the 15-to-25-degree range, despite its 20-degree rating. Multi-season campers should keep this in mind when putting together their packing ozark trail sleeping bag lists. For side sleepers who don’t like a traditional mummy-style bag, this bag’s helpful jacket-style hood is insulated and keeps a pillow in place. It’s relatively lightweight and compatible with most types and sizes of sleeping pads, and it packs down to a compact size.

You can buy an expensive bag if you think it will make you more hardcore, but I will gladly tell everyone how hardcore you are if you pay me to do so. I don’t mind cheap…but I don’t like to purchase a product and then feel like company I just threw money at was trying to hide something from me. What bothers me the most, (and the main reason I gave it 2 stars) is that the fabric is hidden and not obvious until you get it out of the package and unzip it all of the way. If they wanted to skimp on fabric, it should have been used on the outside and bottom of the bag! I was on a budget so I figured I would go with a less expensive bag. I got in the bag, tried to zip it and the zipper tore immediately.

We layer a blanket between the sleeping pads and the sleeping bags for some extra insulation. When it is very cold I also use a comforter over the sleeping bags. Hand warmers in our socks and body warmers in our shirts are helpful as well. Our sleeping bags zip together, allowing us to take advantage of the shared body heat. Pairing these strategies together made it reasonably comfortable at that temperature. The bag on its own is very comfortable down to the 30-degree range.

We did note that the sides of the mattress weren’t as plush to the touch as expected, so the sheets were as snug around the mattress as they could have been. A subreddit for campers concerned more about the act of camping and less concerned about hiking long distances or light gear. Stay cozy even on the coldest nights of your camping or hiking trips with the Everest Mummy Sleeping Bag, +5F/-15C Degree.
