Ozark Trail Sun Shelter 8×6

After researching many different models, I decided upon the Ozark Trail Sun Shade. The Ozark Trail instant sun shade was incredibly easy to put up and even easier to take down. This will be coming with us to the beach and any ozark trail screen house sporting outings where we will be exposed to the weather. I had purchased the item about eight months before getting to use it. Customer service stated that it was past the point where the purchase populated in their system.

We think this is the biggest standout in relation to how different this model is to others on the market. Most versions at this price will stick to the really simple designs, ozark trail sleeping bag with a complete lack of add-ons. While this model isn’t anything ground-breaking by any means, it’s still not oversimplified, and the vents are a prime example of that.

You just angle the shelter where you need it, then attach the shade. It’s literally that easy and is very quick and efficient to set up. First off, this is an affordable solution for a sun shelter. It’s not jam packed with all the bells and ozark trail sun shelter whistles that some of the other sun shades have, but the price was right, and it’s more than serving it’s purpose. To prevent any build-up of humidity or stuffiness, these openings suck in air whilst also letting hot air rise and escape.

Sometimes it’s easier to watch someone set it up and talk about it, rather than read a review. Feel free to check out the video below, or you can scroll on down and read more about the sun shade. The legs are locked into place with old school metal push button locks, something you won’t see on many modern pop up tents now-a-days. These push locks get very difficult to use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed to sand and saltwater, causing rust build up. With the push buttons you need to worry about pinching fingers or not being able to release the button when it gets rusted, which is never a pleasant experience. The Ozark Tail sun shade comes with side curtains to cover the mesh on the side.

I go out to the rural part of the state where it is hot and dry. While this is amazing for evenings around the camp fire, the day time in the sun can be brutal. I can’t handle a full weekend in this type of condition. So I spent the last year looking for a budget friendly sun shade.

I broke out the Ozark Trail Sun Shade on my first outing this season. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the flaps on the bottom are designed to be sandbags for use at the beach. I appreciated the directions being attached to the storage bag so they did not get lost or misplaced. It was helpful that I happened to have a hammer to pound the eight stakes into the hard ground.
