Ozark Trail 9-Person Instant Cabin Tent Review

The back room is without its own external door, but there is a window on the back, see the picture. This is why I have added this tent to my list of camping tents with closets. The tent includes 3 rooms, so you have the main cabin with a removable divider, plus an unusual addition attached to the rear side of the main cabin body. Ozark Trail is all about big family camping tents on a budget, and few are as big and budget-friendly as the Ozark Trail 10 Person Two-Room Cabin.

With a lot of flexibility, and a center height of 7 feet, there is plenty of space for everyone no matter how you configure the tent. Cutting down setup time when you have minimal light to work with makes it extra convenient. Another situation where this instant style pays off is if you get to your campsite in the middle of a downpour, as you can trade of a minute or so in the rain for a quick shelter. The rain fly hangs over the room as well, so you can stay outdoors while it’s raining. Purchasing a large footprint for the entire size of the tent will provide a solid floor for keeping the screen room tidy.

There you’ll find all the info you could ever want on the materials, build quality, and weather-worthiness of these affordable tents. I have read many reviews about how happy people are with this cabin having  no leaks or wind gust problems. BUT for myself, I am disappointed ozark trail shower tent to have been so thrilled to order this tent with good intentions and ending in a return back to the store. While the waterproofing on this tent is good, it is recommended you provide added protection with water-resistant spray you can pick up at any outdoor store.

As you can see one of the more notable features is the integrated screen room, providing extra space to be utilized in numerous different ways. A few very small pockets are on the wall, see the picture below, and I find this really inappropriate for such a big tent designed for 11 people. See this Big Agnes Flying Diamond 6 tent which has 16 huge pockets (for 6 people).

Note, it is already pre-attached to the main cabin part, so you can simply roll it as much as you can and keep close to the cabin wall. From the text above you already have the idea about the inner area, so you have two rooms in the main cabin separated by the removable divider, and a private room as an extension. There are two entry doors, so the divider attaches in the middle between them, and in such a case, every room in the cabin part has its own door.

If you’re looking to save money but still want that cabin tent experience, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Two-Room Cabin is tough to beat. If you’re willing to spend a few extra bucks (emphasis on few), the Ozark Trail 9-Person Cabin with a screen room gives some added livability at a similar price point. The easiest models to pitch are pretty much always “instant tent” shelters, which use a system of preattached poles than only need to be unfolded and locked into place. With that being said, we have yet to see an Ozark Trail tent that’s actually “difficult” to set up, so there’s no reason to limit your search to “instant-only” if you don’t mind putting your own poles together.

Again, not a deal-breaker, but don’t expect these tents to stand up to the same use and abuse as their premium alternatives from brands. Oddly enough, Ozark Trail’s most basic, base bones shelter takes the title of most durable. We chose the Ozark Trail Clip & Camp because unlike larger cabins with plastic hubs and countless poles, this traditional two-pole dome has the fewest number of parts that can potentially fail. We’ve also put together a handy buyer’s guide down at the bottom as a resource for shoppers who are new to the Ozark Trail brand, so make sure to check it out.

This outdoor cabin tent features innovative Dark Rest technology that blocks sunlight, helping you stay cooler and sleep longer. Multiple skylights with interior ceiling panels allow you to customize the light and can be rolled back for stargazing or for extra interior illumination. This Ozark Trail 10-Person Dark Rest Instant Cabin Tent features eight large windows for lovely views of the outdoors, as well as 14 tent stakes for stability. The included removable room divider allows you to create two separate living spaces and comfortably fits two queen airbeds or up to 10 campers in sleeping bags on the floor.

The back room is with the built-in fly so you have no extra work for this section. You have the awning available, and it creates a great sitting area in front of the main entry doors, and its size is roughly 8 x 6 ft (2.44 x 1.83 m). The Ozark Trail 11 Person 3 Room Instant Cabin Tent is an interesting ozark trail shower tent structure with an additional private room added to the rear of the tent. Generally speaking, if you go into buying an Ozark Trail tent with reasonable expectations, you won’t be disappointed. They’re not built for heavy winds, and they certainly aren’t made to stand up to heavy snow.
