Defendant argues for a verbal construction but plaintiff contends that illustrations will suffice. While a hyper bike is a cost-effective choice, the cost increases exponentially as you crave for a better set of wheels. A fancy mountain bike used by the pros can set you back by almost 3-5 grands, even high-end indoor bikes like the Peloton and the newer model Peloton Plus don’t cost that much.
Hyper has since become a major player in the Mass Market, and in Specialty Sporting Goods offering BMX, Mountain Bike and other products to a broad audience of consumers. And when promoting the sport is the topic of discussion, you know the ABA is never far off the lead. They have joined with Hyper to create a hangtag to go on all of the bikes on Walmart’s floor. The hangtag offers a free 30-day ABA membership with purchase of the bike—helping break down barriers to getting new wheels on the gate at the local track. A fresh calendar always brings fresh factory rosters in the inbox.
Barely 365 days later, it could not be a more different situation, and THAT is one of the wonders of the face-to-face business that is done at conferences like Interbike. It’s been floating around on some of the forums (including here on the BMX News forum) for a week or two, but now it’s official and we have the photos to prove it. Lain and Kelsey van Ogle have joined Jerry Bradford’s Hyper Factory Team.
It saves us a fair bit of time that would otherwise be spent setting things up. All things said and done, there are a few pitfalls of hyper biking that you should also consider before you decide whether or not to pick one of these. Look as good as their beefier, mountain-climbing counterparts. This is a great advantage for the use of the Hyper bicycle.
This is because it forces the heart to work harder than it normally would. Because it is more difficult to produce oxygen and nutrients into the body from the blood vessels of a bicycle, the heart will have to work harder, making it work harder. When it does pump out the oxygen and nutrients to the rest of the body, it can do so much better. As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business.
The frame, the tires, the suspensions or the lack of it, are all designed purely for short commutes on reasonably smooth trails. There’s so much buzz surrounding hybrid bikes these days that manufacturers pitch them as the be-all, end-all of multi-terrain biking. Come ride time, the 20-inch wheels with the 1.5” tires bring comfort and stability that are generally not the USP of folding bikes. There’s an 11-speed gear suite with a 54-tooth chain ring for tackling the occasional terrain change.
A great benefit of this bike is the ability to ride it without a helmet. It would seem that a bicycle, which is a fairly safe form of exercise for many, hyper bicycles would not be a very practical choice for a fitness routine. With a helmet on, the chances of the rider hitting the ground or falling are slim to none.
“At Salsa, we believe a sense of adventure makes life better. The bicycle can be so much more than just a bike; it’s a path to new places, new people, and amazing experiences.” It is clear that, by way of this model, Hyper hopes to sell some bikes. We see them making efforts to move merch, yes…but also to promote the sport of BMX Racing to a broad, general interest audience, who may not otherwise know about the sport.
Of course, with the Internet age, we can see the latest and greatest products literally minutes after they come off the CNC machine or out of the welding fixture for the first time. This puts a question mark on many people’s plans year after year, as to whether it is “worth it” to travel to a trade show, aside from the four days of socializing. And while no official word is yet out on where that next chapter will take dR, word around Northern California, and in the Facebook universe has reports of Donny on a new bike already. Whether that is just a hook-up for something new to ride, or a prelude to news to be released in coming days will be keeping us close to the BMX News ticker tape. With the season opener 21 days away, it’s likely we will know sooner rather than later. I rode for Hyper as an amateur back in 1994, and returning to the team in 2007 was like a homecoming.
Jud Ciancio, fresh off his NBL title win at this month’s Grand National tells us that we will see a renewed dedication to racing by Hyper in 2012, complete with a redesigned, reengineered frame. Though samples were not available to show in time for Interbike, News will get a gander at them in the coming weeks and post the first photos up for your droolage. Yess is bringing the above expert fork to market, and is currently working to make some design refinements to the traditional Yess Pro-Sized fork. Shown in Expert size on the demo bike of Justin Hailey, the expert Yess fork is made of 7005 aluminum, weighs 410 grams and will retail for under $150. Stock finishes will be matte black and gloss white, but as noted above in-house powder coating allows Yess to do custom frame-fork color pairings. The drawingboards in the Answer mission-control bunker were piled-high with possibilities for a pro-sized crank kit that had all the upgrades baked in.
