As for the early pale green letter 660 sunshine logo globe, the ones seen all say “Made in USA” under the logo on the front, whether Canadian or USA made. Model L227 is a Quick-Lite model with a wide ventilator. This version, in Dwayne Hanson’s collection, is the most well known with a flat capture nut to hold the ventilator and several indentations in the ventilator . Beginning in May, 1927, Coleman changed the design of the integral pump from built-on to built-in, as on this lantern in Ron Becker’s collection. L427s built after this date all have the built-in pump. I take my globe off and hit the generator with my propane torch for a few seconds, then turn the gas on and it lights right up since I’ve preheated the generator.
