I just bought the 9’x7′ backpacking tent 2 days ago, because I want to do some bikepacking here in FL. It is easy to set up and take down, and I loved the fact that it has three windows for lots of circulation in the heat and humidity. Let me just tell you this, it doesn’t make a difference what model your tent is.
I also used two of the 22oz Tumblers, one with the standard open mouth lid and one with a closed, spill proof lid. A handled coffee mug just gives the feel of sitting back and relaxing as you get ready for your day. Tumblers without a handle are great, but I absolutely love that you can have the feel of a good old fashioned coffee cup while getting the benefit of a double wall vacuum seal in a stainless steel thermos. In my opinion, the Ozark Trail 14-Ounce Double-Wall Vacuum-Sealed Stainless Steel Coffee Mug gives you the best of both worlds. As an avid outdoorsman, I can say from experience that a hot drink on a cold morning or a cold drink in the blazing heat of a midsummer day is a creature comfort that I can’t live without. I am not only an avid coffee drinker, but I am also the former co-owner of a coffee roasting company, so when I say I take coffee seriously I absolutely mean it.
I was so pleased with the quality that I upgraded and bought a bigger Ozark tent. I am very pleased with the quality of these tents. Every single one of our camping experiences has been ruined because of the OZARK tent. I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down. I must say that nothing is waterproof, water resistant is a better term.
There is no way we can camp with this tent, if it would rain it would ruin everything. We, like some others, know that tents are NOT waterproof, so we sprayed the seams etc. with water replant. When we reached the beach everything went great, first night 30 mh winds. Next night still calm, took cover off and loved looking up at the night sky.
An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad. From a positive perspective, the lightweight design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location. From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter. The included carrying bag does not have wheels to aid in transportation, but at only 29 lbs. We don’t find that to be a noteworthy drawback as the nylon handles and shoulder strap work just fine in carrying the tent.
I had to tape the tent together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape. Yes, I had to tape the tent poles together at night because the snaps failed miserably when the wind blew gently and caused the tent to completely collapse… in great weather, with little wind, and no rain. The only drawbacks to this tent are that there is a weather protecting flap over the door zipper that is kept in place by an elastic band which causes the flap to pull in toward the zipper and snag occasionally. It comes loose easily enough but over time this has put lots of little holes in that flap. I have the JW-7607 which is a 2-3 (read that as two) person tent. It has held up to kids camping in the living room and back yard, many camping trips to desert / forest / lake environments and even survived a bear “attack” with only a small tear.

You are able to purchase additional lids both in a spill proof configuration and the open mouth version that comes with the tumblers. Once the lids are placed on to the Tumblers you can see a bit more in relation to how they work. With the locking lid, there appears to be more heat transference than the open mouth lid. Even with the locking lid absorbing more heat, it does provide a few degrees more heat retention over time.
