Note that when I was test riding this bike I bumped my knee on the battery when swinging my leg over the back. Some of the low-step ProdecoTech bikes like the Stride R help eliminate this concern. The timescale for completion of a warranty enquiry varies but your dealer is best placed to keep you up to date on progress and inform you of any action taken or a final decision. The ProdecoTech Genesis 500 is one of the larger folding electric bikes around and it’s also one of the cheapest. As with most Prodeco ebikes this one uses a large gearless rear hub motor and rack mounted battery that sits just genesis bicycles behind the seat post. The wheelset is lightweight with an internal rim width of 19mm that will take good sized rubber which means you could add some float to the ride with some high volume tyres. The Core 26.4 came fitted with 2.2 Mountain Kings, the originals not the much improved Mountain King II. Over ten years the range expanded beyond commuter bikes to include road, mountain, cyclo-cross, gravel, kids and fat bikes.

Carbon fibre forks are covered for five years from the date of original purchase by the end user. The Genesis warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage due to improper assembly or improper & infrequent follow-up maintenance. Installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold may also void the warranty. Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect is not covered along with labour charges for part replacements or changeovers. Any item returned and approved as a defective item will be either repaired or replaced at the discretion of Genesis.
