Is the $750 Hyper Ebike a good budget friendly hunting Ebike?

There is only so much a motor can do and you shouldn’t expect an Ebike to have the same towing capacity as an ATV. For those that are new to assembling mountain bikes you may find this article helpful. The instructions that comes with the Hyper Havoc FS Mountain Bike are very basic and show generalized pictures and instructions that sometimes aren’t very helpful. So in this guide I will help walk you through assembling the mountain bike with easy to follow step by step instructions. A few problems I found with the bike are as follows-First, I don’t like how the handle bars are designed because you need a wrench to tighten them up and put them on. This is slightly annoying because other than the tires, everything else is assembled using hex keys (also known as an allen wrench).

As far as cheap mountain bikes go, overall the Havoc Hyper FS mountain bike isn’t really all that bad. The next problem is that the bike seat is hard and uncomfortable, if you only ride short distances it isn’t a problem, but if you do between 2 through 5 miles you will start to feel it. I have tightened it a few times and it now finally stays hyper bike in place, but it can be dangerous when it randomly slides over while riding. But in reality, I only spend a fraction of my time on mountain bikes. With few exceptions, we all like to think of ourselves as hardcore mountain bikers. But the reality is that most of us probably spend far more time riding places other than mountain bike trails.

Out of the box the manufacturer recommends that you charge the Ebike for a minimum of 4 hours before use, which I started before assembling the bike. True to the manual, after the 4 hour charge time was complete, I was ready to roll with full power available to me. Bought the Pioneer 12 for my daughter’s 5th birthday – she absolutely loves it!

With that in mind, we started looking at alternative travel methods that would have a little bit more stealth for our early morning approaches to our tree stands. Ebikes have been growing in popularity in the last few years and are being used for a number of different applications from daily commutes to trail riding. Brands have even popped up who are tailoring their Ebikes towards hunters but, there is just one problem, they are really expensive. When I say expensive, I mean you could buy an Ebike that costs more than a well equipped, brand new ATV. There are two nuts on the front tire, one on the left side and one on the right.

As far as the ride goes, this bike is really comfortable and well built. This model has a 29″ frame built for riders 6′ and up, but Hyper also has a comparable bike with a 26″ frame for riders below 6′. It also comes stock with a Shimano 6 grip shifter and Shimano rear derailleur. Shimano is a household name in the bike industry and supply parts for a number of manufacturers, so as far as the gear system goes, you are in good hands. The Hyper MTB Ebike is honestly one of the most reasonably priced Ebikes that I have come across while scouring the web. One of the biggest things that we were looking for was a bike that was a fit physically and also had enough capability to haul additional weight for our gear when hunting.

There is a plastic safety stand at the bottom of the front tire fork that you will need to first remove from the bike, grab it and pull it down to remove it. The Right pedal will be labeled with an “R” and the Left with an “L” sticker. If you want to ride trails, you’ll likely need to spend around $200 plus to get something a light trail won’t instantly beat down. And make sure it has a threadless headset and a derailleur with a replaceable hanger. The MT-10 takes a significant step forward in technological advancement with the addition of Yamaha’s state-of-the-art six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit.

This was one of the only things that I was skeptical about when purchasing the Hyper MTB Ebike. I had not used a pedal assist Ebike and so I wasn’t sure just how much effort would be required from me as the rider. It’s not that I am a lazy person, it’s more that I was considering how I planned to use this bike. In my mind, I was envisioning a cold November evening having hunted all day and facing a ride back to camp with all of my gear.
