It was perfect for enjoying the great outdoors while still being protected from the elements. However, as the winds started to blow harder, I realized that the support system could use some improvement. I had to add extra guylines and even some DIY horizontal stabilizing poles to the system. It was a bit of a learning curve, but after that was sorted, the Ozark Trail Screen House handled the wind and rain comfortably. Overall, the Ozark Trail Large Roof Screen House in blue was a reliable and spacious option for our outdoor adventures.
I was impressed by the 12.0 lb packed weight, which, as it turns out, is a good thing since the tarp can easily withstand some heavy wind. However, there’s one glitch that almost ruined our camping trip. One of the poles was screwed into the wrong part of the connector piece, causing the tent to collapse repeatedly until we figured it out. We didn’t expect such an issue with a product that otherwise seems well-designed and durable.
It has everything you need for three-season camping, with the bonus of being light enough to double as an occasional backpacking tent. Although it’s designed to accommodate three people—hence the “3” in its name—we found that at 42.5 square feet, the tent is more comfortable for two, plus gear and maybe a medium-size dog. Made from rugged materials like polyester and powder-coated steel, this screen house is built to withstand various weather conditions.
It’s also more challenging to lift into and out of a vehicle alone, and although quite solid, the E-Z Up can be a little wobbly at full height. These caveats aside, this is still our number one when heading out to the playing field. We love the size of the tent and we used it for a week with no problems. The second time we set it up one of the poles snapped and now I can’t find where I can get replacement poles. It’s starting to wear out and I’m looking to replace but can’t find one anywhere. Sadly it blew over over in a storm last night breaking two corner pieces and the middle X broke.
Aim just right of the middle fairway bunker to hit the widest part of the landing area. The elevated green slopes from back to front with a dangerous false front on the left side. Favor the right side on your tee shot as bunkers protect the left side of the fairway on this par 4. A right-sided approach will also give you the best angle into the green which is guarded by a large bunker on the left side with plenty of room to miss on the right.
If you spend much time on the sidelines, we think the E-Z Up is the perfect way to catch some shade while you cheer on your athlete or team. At the forefront of features, this canopy has a roller bag with large, wide-set wheels so one person can easily pull this beast across gravel, dirt, or grass. The E-Z Up also has a simple setup and can even be deployed solo, depending on age and strength.
The large windows that zip open allowed for a refreshing breeze, and the flexible mesh walls gave a charming outdoor feel. At $500, this modified dome-style tent isn’t cheap, but it represents substantial value. Many tents with similar profiles—such as the Big Agnes ozark trail canopy Dog House 6—either cost more or require you buy the tent body and attachable vestibule separately. The Wawona doesn’t come with a footprint—few tents this size do—but it’s otherwise all-inclusive, and it is compact considering how much livable space you get.
The frame is made from sturdy steel tubing, and the mesh material is easy to attach, creating a secure and durable structure. The Ozark Trail Screen House 14X12 has a total dimension of 14 feet by 12 feet, including the frame and the screen material. This provides ample space for furniture, seating, and other outdoor essentials. The height of the screen house is approximately 8 feet, ensuring that most people can easily walk inside without hunching over. Overall, I think the Ozark Trail Family Tent offers plenty of space and is a great option for those seeking a comfortable and convenient camping experience. With a few adjustments and tweaks, it could easily become an even more reliable and waterproof option for your next outdoor adventure.
The new types that go right up without connections are so much better. It was a nice size though and eventually got up with extra tape. I am now ready to put up the screen house on my back patio so my grandchildren can play without the bugs getting them or the sun burning them along with eating out there. If you have the manual and can scan it and e-mail me I would really appreciated it.
