The GilletteLabs Heated Razor isn’t cheap, but it’s a wonderful gift or item to splurge on for anyone who likes wet shaving with traditional razors. But if you need a strong and dependable razor with one setting for a close shave, you’ll find this to be an extremely useful and cost-effective option. For example, the closeness won’t be as good or you’ll need many passes in order to get a smooth shave. Despite not being perfect in every situation and some series offering better performance and value than others, are among the best out there. For example, Panasonic stations can also just dry the shaving head (without cleaning the shaver prior to that), they use both a fan and a heating element, they’re sturdier and better looking. So it’s good news for S9/S9 Pro/S9 PRO+ owners who have a solo model and decide to get a cleaning station. Just like its less powerful siblings, the Series 6 and Series 5 50, there are a lot of Series 7 70 variations that come with different accessories for trimming, but also charging stands or automatic cleaning stations.
So you can use the 94M cassette on your standard non-Pro shaver, regardless of the generation. However, in practice, both the 92 and 94 heads seem just as good braun shavers at that. This can result in a marginally faster and closer shave compared to the standard Series 9 which is on the other hand gentler and a bit more forgiving.
This one also has a useful suite of features, most notably a terrific detailing trimmer. I don’t think Braun even advertises it as a detailer, since these trimmers are designed to spot-check strays or trim away too-long stubble prior to shaving. But because Braun’s trimmer rises above the device head, it is terrific for drawing clean lines around the perimeter of your facial hair (should you want a manicured mustache but a clean-shaven chin, for example). If you have coarse or curly hair, you’ve probably struggled to find products that make grooming comfortable. While even the best electric razors for men focus on getting the absolute closest cut possible, that’s also usually the first step to unattractive, painful, or itchy razor bumps.
