My experience with Ozark Trail equipment has been to reinforce the old adage “you get what you pay for”. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a good screen house spend the additional money and get a Swiss Gear. Don’t try to save a few dollars and end up with a POS like this one. When I got the thing home and deboxed it, the reality began to set in. Dozens of two-foot sections of pipe spilled onto the floor with stickers labeling them ‘1B’, ‘4’, or ‘2B’.

Shade can be a matter of survival there if you’re outside at midday. Then I started having other wild fantasies, like effectively adding a room to the desert shack where I live by erecting the shadehouse in the backyard. This product from the list of stuff that I wish I never had bought it would in the top two. Setting up the screenhouse you need an army of people to hold the frame in place to put the screen over. Then the hooks don’t even reach the holes at the bottom of the poles. Then if you can manage to get that far, you have to run like crazy to get it tied down before if falls over.
An absolute waste of money and time, and cost plenty of aggravation. Absolutely no offer to resolve the issue. Absolutely no apology for the poor quality of the product. I purchased this Screen House two years ago. It goes up OK, poles have color coded stickers on them. Been through several severe storms while camping with no issues. Keeps sun and bugs at bay which was my main reason for buying it. Seems harder to take down than to put up.
The overall construction is about what you expect for the price. Got one of these out of a storage unit at auction. Obviously used, but in good shape. Without instructions, it took me about 30 minutes to put it together and get it erected, by myself. Just had to comment after reading these old reviews of folks who couldn’t seem to set it up without either A.
She guided me through until I was able to find the correct serial number for the part and sent it to me right away. Had the screen house for 4 years. A ozark trail chairs gust of wind probably around 50 MPH took it down. Broke all four corner hubs and bent all 1b poles beyond repair. We loved it when it stayed together.
Bottom of screen doesn’t even tough the ground. This tent is only $47 at Walmart, however that is not the point. The hubs on the tent and the construction of the design are worthless.
