Gear: The Ozark Trail Screenhouse

The tent fabric roof provides shade for 46 square feet of the room. The Screen House is spacious enough for six people, or more around a folding table ozark trail canopy in an uninterrupted 360-degree panoramic shelter. Trailspace’s community of gear reviewers has field-tested and rated the top tents and shelters.

I was wondering if anyone out there can e-mail me the manual. We placed the screen house over a picnic table at the campsite and it did a fairly good job of keeping insects out while we were eating. Wasn’t even able to get the tent set up in a mild wind before one of the corner plastic parts broke.

My experience with Ozark Trail equipment has been to reinforce the old adage “you get what you pay for”. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a good screen house spend the additional money and get a Swiss Gear. Don’t try to save a few dollars and end up with a POS like this one. When I got the thing home and deboxed it, the reality began to set in. Dozens of two-foot sections of pipe spilled onto the floor with stickers labeling them ‘1B’, ‘4’, or ‘2B’.

If anyone reading this review has any idea where I can purchase another one just like it, please contact me at If you have the manual ozark trail chairs and can scan it and e-mail me I would really appreciated it. I loved sitting outside and eat dinner in the screen house and mess it.

Leave it up for an evening … A light misting rain and it’s all over. The hubs break and the legpoles bend beyond repair.

Total collapse, hubs (2) shattered and two sets of poles completely destroyed. Not sure if I should order replacement parts or not, maybe I should just consider this a waste of money, and cut my losses while I can. We bought this screen tent about 2 years ago and just took it out of the box to put it up. I hate to say it but this thing is a piece of JUNK.

The were never opened by the seller. We have only been using one since. After a pretty bad storm at the beach, a few of the poles broke…so we are moving onto the next new one and selling the first for parts. We bought this screen house at an auction for $5.
