Ozark Trail 14′ x 10′ 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent BestBuy Mall

It was very difficult to roll the tent back into its original shape to return to store. I’ve read many people have had the same problems and went to army surplus to buy a bigger durable storage bag. These are the two QUEEN Mattress I received with my bundle order. I did not open these boxes because they too needed to be returned with the tent. The Ozark 9 person cabin can fit two Queen Mattresses comfortably. During my research on this tent I watched several YouTube videos on how to set up tent by yourself or with two people.

This two-room cabin tent also offers electrical cord access, and it even includes a carrying bag for your convenience. In terms of drawbacks, this is a particularly budget-friendly model from an already budget-focused brand, so you’ll need to be mindful of a few shortcomings to get the most out of this shelter. First, Ozark Trail uses sealed seams on this tent, but the fabric itself isn’t made for a rainstorm. You’ll want to give the entire tent a thorough Nikwax treatment before taking it on the road. Second, the fabric feels thin, and a few users have reported ripping it during setup, so you’ll need to take your time both setting up and taking down this tent.

For pros, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent is very, very inexpensive, and is by far my least expensive tent for the size. The 14 steel stakes that came with the tent are just your standard tent stakes, nothing impressive. The mesh doesn’t exactly feel soft and silky, and I’m pretty sure it’s not no-see-um mesh, though it’ll keep the bigger bugs out. There was quite a bit of this sort of inconsistent mesh in some places, so not very well put together. I also found a bunch of loose threads on the floor when I first got into the tent, and excess material on some parts. Also, I noticed that some water was already seeping through the blue fabric at the bottom of the tent, and the fabric is pretty much soaked.

Even in light rain, the rain does get on to the window and door mesh, so it’s best to keep them full closed. I also rain tested my Coleman Sundome Tents, and I have the regular 6-person version, the 6-Person Dark Room version, and also the Elite 6-Person version. All these tents were able to stay dry for about 30 to 35 minutes of heavy pouring rain. So all in all, the screen room is a regular room, it just offers more features with its huge mesh on the three sizes.

After I ordered the product at Walmart.com, I went to the store to pay cash. I received two queen air mattress on time but did not receive the tent till well over time estimated delivery. I almost went to refund the tent, but it did not qualify @ the time. On the other hand, I’ve had some of my Coleman Tents for about ozark trail shower tent 3 to 4 years now, and I never noticed any of the tent fabric becoming sticky. And the steel poles of my WeatherMaster tent are still holding up fine. And while my WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent doesn’t have super big windows, 2 of the windows are these huge, angled windows for ventilation on rainy days instead.

Our favorite Ozark Trail tent currently is the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin. This tent’s combination of floor space, livability, and value make it a home run for large groups or families looking to spread out in style, but this 12-person behemoth won’t be everyone’s first choice. The poles are steel and the structure ozark trail instant cabin looks strong and stable. So you have this extra bonus here, the ambient LED-lighted poles which provide light throughout the tent. You have low, medium, and high settings and the system works on 4 D batteries. The picture below shows the light center on the ceiling and the other shows how it looks with the light on.

This is far from enough, so the declared capacity makes no sense. If used for family camping, this is a tent for parents with up to 4 kids. It is also perfect for two couples, the two separate rooms give some privacy and the screen room may be used as a living room. If you’re looking to save money but still want that cabin tent experience, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Two-Room Cabin is tough to beat. If you’re willing to spend a few extra bucks (emphasis on few), the Ozark Trail 9-Person Cabin with a screen room gives some added livability at a similar price point. Despite what you may have read, you can absolutely enjoy an outdoors experience in an Ozark Trail tent.

The single door measures about 54 by 39 inches in dimensions, although it’s about 62 inches from the floor to the top of the door. This is almost a full-sized door, but I do need to duck a little when entering. It took me about double the time to set it up on my own (so, 20 minutes). But unfortunately, because I’m not tall (I’m 5’3″), I couldn’t get the rainfly up on my own, and that’s where I got stuck. Finally, attach all the pole clips, place the rainfly over the Ozark Trail tent, secure it, and stake out the entire tent.

These 4 mattresses take up the entire tent, and there’s hardly any space leftover for camping gear. To accommodate 10 people in this tent, it’s almost shoulder-to-shoulder sleeping, although there’s some space down the middle for just a tiny bit of camping gear. As stated above, durability and materials are the main pain point of Ozark Trail tents. The fabrics are often thinner and less technical (regular polyester rather than ripstop, etc.), and the poles are pretty much always made from cost-saving materials like fiberglass and thin steel alloy. Large dome tents are also an option, and although they’re a little less flashy, they have some perks of their own.

I have seen people asking if any of those vents can be used to fit an air conditioner, and the answer is no. Regarding seasons & climate, this is a summer camping tent for places without rain and strong winds. The waterproof rating is minimal, the fly covers only the ceiling, the tent is very tall and as such a huge obstacle for winds and it would not last long in a very windy place.
