Ozark Trail Family Camping Package

The main thing to know going into an Ozark Trail purchase is that you need to do your due diligence not to overstress the materials because a heavy hand can absolutely damage them. Take time to inspect your tent when you first get it (damages from shipping are common), and don’t ever “force” anything when setting up or tearing down your shelter. Ozark Trail is all about big family camping tents on a budget, and few are as big and budget-friendly as the Ozark Trail 10 Person Two-Room Cabin.

Take time to treat the entire tent with a DWR coating like Nikwax (not just the rainfly) and never leave the house without a tent repair kit in case disaster strikes. Shape wise most Ozark Trail tents either come in a cabin or dome shape. Cabin tents typically have more room inside to stretch out thanks to their high ceilings and vertical walls, so most Ozark Trail shoppers will likely want to focus on cabin tents. Despite what you may have read, you can absolutely enjoy an outdoors experience in an Ozark Trail tent.

I reached the spur to McCormack Lake late in the day and decided to carry on, maybe another mile or so. I reached an overlook of the river which had a picnic table, and went off-trail uphill until I found a passably flat spot for the tent. My gear and I arrived safely in St. Louis, and soon I was picked up by Spiffyguy who was my ride to the southern end of the trail. I do not see any way I could have hiked the Ozark Trail without help on this. There isn’t any easy way to get to the southern end (or even the northern end).

It slowly got more intense, until my last 4-5 miles which were in rain. I suppose because yesterday was so epic, and today started with miles of briers along the Current River, I was in a funk. Don’t get me wrong, the Current was gorgeous — but dang, did I end up with a lot of scrapes. I have to put it into perspective, though — there was devastating flooding along ozark trail camping the OT earlier this year, and that fact that the trail is open at all is inspiring. I planned to camp at the fenceline of Peck Ranch, since I can’t camp within the ranch, but about 3/4 of a mile before the fenceline, there was a large clearing where the two backpackers had set up. They invited me to camp with them, and although I first declined, I changed my mind.

It comes with two room dividers to keep you from having to share trail snacks or your airbed, as well as a couple of closets for your storage needs. One removable divider is made with silver-coated fabric, making it a potential movie ozark trail wagon screen for optimal outdoor entertainment. It has been such a fun summer in the Hubbart household! We love this time of year because we always have more opportunities to spend time together outside enjoying the summer weather!

He was sure they would catch up with me, and I looked forward to seeing them and maybe even camping together. You can use this stove a few times until you can’t find the regulator assy.

For pros, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent is very, very inexpensive, and is by far my least expensive tent for the size. And it even comes with a gear loft and room divider. The mesh doesn’t exactly feel soft and silky, and I’m pretty sure it’s not no-see-um mesh, though it’ll keep the bigger bugs out. The material of the tent body and rainfly are made of 68D coated polyester fabric. Also, when it’s raining, there’s hardly any ventilation. There are no vents in this Ozark Trail 10-Person tent at all.

Fortunately I work around propane and propane accessories and I was able to remove one tire-type stem valve from the regulator and get it to work.
