My second favorite lantern is the gas powered one, and coming in third place is the propane powered lantern. The L220 lantern above came with a Coleman reflector that appeared in the 1920 Coleman Parts Catalog 27 (no part number). The reflector was designed for the earlier LQ lantern but also fits in L220 and L228 models. The spring steel reflector rests against three of the uprights and the shiny inner surface reflects light from the mantles. The ventilator and mica globe were removed for this image. I unfortunately purchased a coleman rechargeable lantern BEFORE I started looking for reviews..this one wonked out on us after six hours..

Coleman also made these LZ327 (left) and LZ427 (right) lanterns, known here by their Coleman numbers, for several retailers including Sears and Montgomery Ward. When lit, the tube can release too much fuel, posing fire and burn hazards. Ace may modify or cancel the Beta Test Program at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice to you. The check valve can be seen between the pump and filler cap. Air from the pump is piped up to the top of the fount. Shipping records show several hundred were sent from July – December, coleman camping 1924 (Becker). They were the first Coleman model to have a pump as part of the lantern.
