There are 93 slips available for rent each season. Slips are located in three separate areas; East Boat Launch (no pontoon boats), Mitten Bay (pontoons only) and Boat Rental. Kensington Metropark is a popular fishing location in Southeast Michigan. In any season, Kent Lake presents plenty of opportunities to cast your line on the shore or from a boat. Bass, bluegill, northern pike, black crappie and yellow perch are all here waiting for you.
The chair is available to rent during summer from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Please note, a companion or attendant is required as Metroparks staff will not be able to assist with transfers or pushing the wheelchair on the beach or in the water.
