Coleman Skylodge Instant Tent is the best family camping tent here’s why

Rain still seeped though ALL four walls of the tent (see pictures) and made puddles on the floor, getting our sleeping bags and other gear wet throughout the night. I agree with the last reviewer…tent looks good, setup is really nice, but the plastic corner brackets break way too easy, metal ones and this tent would be awesome. I like the weatherctec system, on most Coleman tents seems they stay dry even in heavy rains. The aluminum poles are also quite durable; the leg poles are 16mm thick, while the roof poles are 12mm thick.

We awoke in the morning to a ceiling patterned with dew, the respiration-induced droplets threatening to rain down if an arm but glanced off the taut Coleman walls. For retail purchases returned without a receipt, the refund will be issued as a store merchandise

credit at the lowest price within the last 90 days. Proper ID will be required in the form of a valid, state-

issued driver’s license or state ID card. We reserve the right to limit, or refuse returns without a receipt. I highly recommend this Coleman 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent if you’re expecting high temperatures and hot weather, but not if you’re expecting plenty of rain. Also, if you’re expecting any rain at all, you do need to seal this inverted seam.

You can also leave the tent easily, and get back into the tent easily, through this super, super user-friendly hinged D-door on the left width of the tent. It works just like a regular door, with no need for any zipping. The poles of the Coleman 10-Person Instant Tent are made of steel, and are all pre-attached for an easy set up and take down.

Taking down the Coleman 10-Person Tent and then packing it up takes slightly more than 5 minutes for 2 people, and about ~10 minutes on my own, excluding washing and drying, of course. After, secure the 6 s-hooks of the rainfly to the 6 loops on the base of the tent. Lastly Coleman appear to have teamed up with Realtree to market a new camouflage tent. Available in two versions the Realtree XTRA 4 looks to be exactly the same as the Standard Evanston model, the only difference been the colors.

There is no more stumbling over guide lines with this tent. The tent’s guide lines are reflective and can be seen at night. With these integrated features, the tent folds up into a 46” long bag. It’s not small, but if you are car camping you won’t be carrying it far. This Coleman tent has an integrated rain flap and Weather Tec system technology. The tent stood up to the weather and kept the water out.

This is a nice feature here; you have a divider that offers some privacy. The divider is with a central zipper, and you can roll it up and fix on the ceiling when you do not need it; you can do this with each of its two wings separately. It attaches to the side walls through some toggles and loops.

“I feel on the verge of hyperventilating,” my wife said. I know I’m out of the warranty period, but I don’t know if this tent is a lemon, or if its counterfeit, or if Coleman products are expected to have these sorts of problems. I am going to go camping again this summer, and I’d like to know if anyone has ideas whats up with this tent and if I can fix it.

All in all, there are many great points in its design but there are also downsides, so choose carefully. Check also their 10-person version with dark rest design. The nearly vertical walls and its height of nearly two meters are the features which make it a cabin type tent. Please see more about the terminology in my separate text. We believe in offering the very best value, quality, and selection. Refunds are issued to the original form of payment, unless returned in store

where some exclusions may apply.

You’ll also want to set aside some extra time to strap on the secondary rainfly should you opt to purchase this along with the tent, but we’ll talk more about that later on. It’s also worth noting that this tent can easily be set up by only one person, something that cannot be said for several of the two-person tents in our review. That been said campers love this tent and the larger versions, and seem quite happy to pay extra for the convenience it offers. The larger 6 person version is better suited to families of four. Both are sold without a rain fly, which you will need to purchase. The Coleman 8 person instant cabin tent is an instant setup and a cabin-type tent.

From the comparison table below you will realize that this is more than what you have in the Core 9 tent of the same type, which is formally for 9 people. The Instant Tent 4 will no doubt find fans in car campers who hold setup convenience as a No. 1 trait. Anyone coleman ice chest who knows tents will be disappointed in the clammy and poorly-designed Coleman camp shelter.
