I would like to buy another one for myself as a back up. This is my third season of using it and it’s getting to be on its last leg. Took it to Lake Anna for camping at night, fishing all day for three days. The first night we had a bad storm (wind, rain, lightning) so bad we had to get in truck and wait it out. This is perfect for camping, the backyard and any outdoor socially-distanced summer events that need a little shade. There is no information about a waterproof column, so it doesn’t seem waterproof.
An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad. From a positive perspective, the lightweight design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location. From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter.

The problem I had was that the hinges in the poles kept unlocking and the tent would collapse in on us until the wind died down a bit and we could push it back out. The biggest issue in all of this is the inability to withstand any rotational pressure during medium and high impact weather conditions as the joints become unstable and collapse at the mid points. In windy conditions high stress is applied to each side and the frame begins to break down at the unreinforced joint connectors. The extra support features make sure everything is secure. It is a very nice easy way for a family that does not have a lot to pull from to utilize money with dual purpose. I wish I could find this tent in a 12′ x 12′ model!!!
Amazingly simple no rods to misplace…highly recommend this tent if you can find them. I had some tents before, but when I was looking for a new one, I saw this on sale and take ozark trail canopy it to home. My only complaint is when I need to get in to the bag, but not is a big problem. Thought it was the best tent ever until we used it with a decent wind blowing.
