Coleman 2 Burner Grill Camping Stove

The stove, in James Cowan’s collection, came with the supports that will hold a much larger pot on the stove. Get ready for your next adventure with Coleman outdoor gear from Ace! Shop wilderness essentials like Coleman stoves and grills, then pick up dependable power sources like Coleman gas to fuel your cooking needs. The Classic is cheap at full retail price, and online retailers often have it for even cheaper.
While it wasn’t the best in any of our tested categories, it holds its own and performs consistently. If your camp cheffing needs are simple, or you are searching for a car camping stove that won’t break the bank, this is a good model to explore. The Coleman Cascade Burner Camping Stove represents a slight step up from our top pick, the Coleman Classic, in cooking control and power.
Affordable, and more than capable of cooking up a good meal on the cheap. What really sets these stoves apart from other Coleman offerings (like the Classic) is the cast-iron grates. The heavy-duty cast-iron burner grates make cooking on these virtually indistinguishable from cooking on a gas stove in your home. You’ll appreciate the latch when you use the stove’s built-in recessed carry handle, too. It wasn’t until 1949 that Coleman advertised that the flat bar could be turned over the top to serve as a towel rack (Stendahl). This Model 395 hotplate is undated but it was made by The Coleman Co. after WWII as Model 391A above. Joe Pagan restored this 3 burner stove which is in his collection. The master burner is on the left; each burner on the right has its own control knob.

the camp stoves in their original boxes for shipping. This test wasn’t perfect, but the rough rides in the back of a mail truck revealed weaknesses in the Everest’s design.
The Mountaineer does have an additional-leg kit, but we didn’t find the pieces helpful (the legs were too short for our needs, and they felt loose when attached). It’s better if you can set this stove

on a table or some kind of camp stand. At one point I had to use the handle of a spoon to pry the case open again. You could fix the problem using a Dremel tool and a grinder, if you have one.
This makes it easy to slide into the crevice of a vehicle or back corner of a gear closet. Taking it a step further, we also like Jetboil’s Genesis system, which includes a stove and cookware, manages to weigh less than 10 pounds, and folds down to nest into the included pot. Again, these considerations don’t matter to some campers, but they can be a difference-maker for those limited on space. For those limited on space in their vehicle or gear storage, GSI Outdoors offers a unique solution in their sleek and modern Pinnacle Pro Stove.
