For those limited on space in their vehicle or gear storage, GSI Outdoors offers a unique solution in their sleek and modern Pinnacle Pro Stove. At just 1.4 inches tall when closed, the Pinnacle Pro is significantly thinner than most two-burner alternatives, including the Camp Chef Everest 2X (5.6 in.), Eureka Ignite Plus (4 in.), and others above. Additionally, we found the deployable legs helpful for raising the stove to a convenient height when cooking on a camping table. To measure boil times, we head to our windless “lab,” aka our garage, at 5,000 feet (1524 meters) and do two boil tests.
It requires two separate Isopro bottles to work; running it from a single larger tank, even with conversion valves, is difficult. On top of that, during our tests the legs and wind screen both felt unpleasantly insecure when we were cooking on the stove. And we’ve never heard the maxim that a tired and hungry family is a happy family. This is why two-burner camp stoves are the workhorse of any group camping trip, since they can quickly cook meals for four or more people. Simple to load and easy to carry, they’re built to be packed in the trunk beneath a pile of camping gear, pulled out after a too-long drive, and set up on a table or the ground to cook dinner without complaint.
We also like the windscreen setup, which involves slotting bobby pin-shaped connectors into the stove body. This allows the use of slightly larger pans because you can widen the flaps, and it creates a more perfect wind seal when you have it in the narrowest setting. To evaluate fuel efficiency, we start with a new fuel can and weigh it before the windy and wind-less tests and again when these tests are finished. The Classic consumed an average of 5.18% of a green Coleman fuel can or 0.8 ounces of fuel during each test.
The propane stove regulator replacement parts is made of 100% solid brass fitting, make sure air tight connection and leak-free and provide excellent sense to you. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not extend to any subsequent owner(s). I used this stove once with a dwindling (less than half-full) canister of fuel and then once again with a full canister.
In hand, it’s clear the Classic is the cheaper option compared to Coleman’s more premium Triton below (as well as the pricier designs above). Neither are really solid or durable—and at this price point, they really can’t be—but the Triton is the better investment for the camper who gets out more than a couple of times a year. The Colemen Classic Propane Stove is a no-frills 2-burner camping stove that gets the job done.
But should you want a grill and stove combo, say, for cooking sausage and eggs, a hybrid option like the Camp Chef Rainier 2X is pretty appealing. Keep in mind that the grill portion takes up about 2/3 of the cooktop, which can swallow valuable space for fitting

a large skillet or pot. Coleman’s Cascade 3-in-1 solves that problem with both burners and removable grill/griddle accessories. Similarly, stoves like the Camp Chef Explorer allow you to swap out accessory tops, including a barbecue box or pizza oven.
Whether you’re setting out on a cozy overnight getaway or embarking on your next big exploration, Coleman products deliver strong, dependable quality with lightweight comfort. From lanterns to high-tech tents, stoves and fuels, Coleman brings you the equipment you need to

go anywhere you can imagine. While the Coleman Classic isn’t fancy or feature-rich, it does everything you need a stove to do in a timely and proficient manner. It doesn’t have the highest BTUs or boiling times, but it has solid performance in terms of fuel efficiency.
Good simmer performance isn’t something typically found on a spec sheet, but a high-end model will typically perform better in these conditions. Moreover, having a good windscreen will help keep the flame lit if you’re running the heat on low. The Camp Chef Everest and Eureka Ignite Plus have excellent simmer control, while budget stoves like the Coleman Classic struggle. Spending up will increase your chances of mastering that complex backcountry meal.
