It has been dependable and required little maintenance perfect for a curious rider who is looking to dable before deciding if cycling is for you. Would suggest you take the time to get the bike tuned up immediately after purchasing it. My bike has been a great learning tool for me without having to worry about ruining a more expensive bike. This is a great beginners bike for the price and works well for smaller easy trails but the shorter fork travel on the front means if you are riding hard you should expect to bottom them out quite a bit.
