First of all, let’s talk about the overall build. As expected from an e-bike that retails for nothing more than $998 USD, the Jet Fuel comes with a rudimentary aluminum frame. It gets a rigid front end, tall handlebars, and a low saddle, in typical BMX/ dirt-jumper fashion. Performance-wise, the bike gets a 250-watt hub motor; and this is why I say it’s designed for an urban setting, rather than a rough and tough environment.
20mm difference in hyper bicycles length is about a 1 degree change in head angle on a 42 inch wheelbase bike. A 490mm length is basically an 80mm travel 29er fork. The Kona Mahuna 2020 lists a 68 angle with a 506mm length fork and the spec is a Judy Silver TK Air 100mm. Now going to the RS dealer manuals, which show the fork length as actually being 510mm for that model.

The complex shape of the impeller is 3D machined from forged aluminum for high precision and durability. The impeller spins at 9.2x speed of the crankshaft, reaching speeds of nearly 130,000 rpm, pumping a capacity of over 200 liters of air per second into the engine. With the center of gravity being much lower, folding bikes like these make off-road riding a comically easy affair. A large, removable 52Volt 19.2Amp-hour 1,000Watt-hour battery sits on the front frame rail, and it comes off with a key, the same key used to turn the bike’s underseat “ignition” on – like a motorcycle. While the motor is rated a stout 1,000 watts continuous, I suspect it can peak at over 1,700 watts, mostly because I saw a figure north of that numerous times on the power output display.
Additionally, after riding them in the mountains, I noted that I didn’t get any wheel wobbles descending.
