Item has an open box or no box, but the product appears to be in new condition. With 100ft² of ground space, multiple people can stand or sit comfortably inside without feeling cramped. It’s also enough room to put a standard table, some picnic chairs, and a cooler or two. The feet areas of the legs are also something to mention, as they are shaped like pads instead of a simple pole. This adds to the stability as the weight is more evenly spread.
The frame expands and extends outwards and upwards ‘instantly’ allowing for a fast pitch. Unlike the pop up tents that are renowned for being fast pitch, ozark trail sun shade instant tents are much stronger and stable, due to the more robust framework. Whereas pop ups tend to utilize a spring coil to burst outwards.
The Ozark Trail 8×8 Instant Sun Shade did exactly what we needed it to. It kept us out of the sun when we didn’t want to be in it. I don’t see why you would spend more money on the more expensive sun shades, when the Ozark Trail did such a great job. It kept anyone out of the sun who chose to be that day. It was nice having some refuge when you wanted it.
Whether you were just hot, or starting to sun burn, it definitely served it’s purpose. The canopy is easy to take down; simply follow the directions in reverse. We bought this to take to the beach so our 6 month old had shade. It did its job, only thing I will warn ozark trail instant canopy is the black tarp gets pretty warm in the sun. We put a blanket down to keep from having him burnt.
