Short turn radius, impossible to upgrade, even with good maintenance will not with stand a full season of normal xc trail ride wear/conservative. Funny story I fell off riding in town at a very low speed handle bar snapped in half. If you end up having a god wreck and bending the chain stay-bottom arms in the 4 bar linkage you will have shifting problems because there is no dérailleur hanger it mounts to the frame so you’re screwed there. The cranks must be like 180mm you will always have terrible pedal clearance on turns or over uneven terrain. There are, however, a number of points that make this a more versatile bike than the carbon alternative.

I would like to call the TdF30 a roady Genesis Tour de Fer 20. This model features a drop-bar, TRP brakes instead of Promax and a Shimano Tiagra transmission, definitely more roady and with longer gear, for light and trained travellers. For sure this is a versatile bike, without a rear rack and mudguards you can ride on all the secondary roads near your place or for a bikepacking weekend on the gravel roads.
