It rolls on Fulcrum Racing 6 wheels shod with Michelin’s highly-regarded Lithion training tyres, and overall looks like an excellent deal. With aligned expectations, the value of this bike is outstanding. I come from a perspective that this is a secondary bike that I purely intended to use for indoor training.

On entry-level bikes with an aluminum frame, steel and aluminum forks are common. If you spend a bit more and get a bike with a carbon fiber fork, you’ll notice the bike is lighter, and the carbon fork provides a slightly smoother ride with less vibrations from the road. Titanium offers decathlon mountain bike a similar performance to steel but is lighter, but it’s a very expensive material and rivals carbon fiber for price. Many are drawn to the unique looks and longevity of a titanium frame and its particular ride characteristics – titanium frames are generally noted for their comfort.
I recently got into triathlons and my mountain bike is to heavy for racing. I’ve only ever ridden mount bikes so riding a road bike was a new experience for me. I felt comfortable and safe when I was riding, and with the east to use gears it’s been the perfect bike for me. Highly recommend for anyone who is transitioning from decathlon road bike a mountain bike to a road bike. If you intend to ride in all weather, then it’s worth adding mudguards. Some road bikes, but not all, have small eyelets on the frame and fork that allow you to fit specific mudguards that wrap around the front wheel and wheel keep you much drier when riding in the rain than without them.
Looking like a shoe that can often cost three or four-times as much, it’s designed to give a secure fit with a non-slip heel for putting serious power through the cranks. Oh, and look pretty decent with your expensive Rapha garms, too. The women’s equivalent of the men’s RC 120 Gravel has a narrower handlebar, shorter stem, brake levers closer to the handlebar, and a women-specific saddle. It’s otherwise identical to the regular RC520 which, it has to be said, made it a shade expensive in comparison to that bike at its original price of £850. You could achieve the same thing by fitting a pair of 35mm tyres and a new bar for less than £100. I usually ride a Santa Cruz Bronson, and have had a “one bike quiver” for a long, long time.
However, what Triban doesn’t explicitly point out is that those inflated dimensions also leave plenty of room for larger tires, all the way up to 700×40 mm . Up top is a conventional 27.2 mm-diameter round seatpost secured with an external aluminum clamp, and down below is a standard English-threaded bottom bracket shell. The front derailleur attaches with a perfectly normal 34.9 mm-diameter clamp, and all of the cable routing is fully external with split housing stops. Look a bit closer, and the frame is more of a throwback (although as I’ll discuss later, that’s not necessarily an inherent drawback).
