Once I put the joint down, I will without a doubt , make sure your bars are on straight and your brakes are right rear/left front. At 6’3″ – the bike was even adjusted to the comfortable riding position for me. The shifters worked smoothly and the brakes were secure, but the brake handles were positioned in a strange position and could not be adjusted to a more comfortable position due to the position of the gear selector grip. It’s a good starter bike, however it should be noted it’s not a perfect fit for everyone. It’s really a boys bike since I am 6’1″ and it’s just small for anyone over 5’6″-5’8″.
This bike will have cut every corner to achieve the price. A good cheap bike starts at just under a grand. I love how a riders rear tire can always show you what way they corner strongest… Given the target demographic for a bike like this, a carbon frame seems like a liability nightmare for the company and its sellers. I think it’s more that you missed my point while ranting about some garbage.
I’m gonna add this to legendary shit threads I wish I never got involved in. Hyper had this video out 2 years ago of the bikes at Crankwork’s. I’ve yet to see a shop support a NICA team with anything more than a few water bottles, expired granola bars, and 15% off parts that are 25% overpriced. I am not to go to shop at discount stores but socially…they are the worst. My Viathon m1 XX1 is one of the best bikes I have ever owned, and I have owned more bikes than I care to admit.

But still who goes to Walmart.com hyper bicycles looking for a multi thousand dollar bicycle…crickets. People go there looking for sub $400 bicycles, not sure this is a good move for Walmart or Hyper. Hyper would be better off selling through a different e-commerce platform.

Same with lawyer tabs on forks basically being everywhere now in the bike industry, not merely on bikes sold hyper mountain bike in the USA. Just saw another Walmart bike with a backward fork out in the wild yesterday, tall guy pedalling duck foot to avoid the tire rubbing his toes. Let’s hope they arrive at Walmart pre-assembled.

EVERY RSD for example is a 44mm zero stack cup head tube and they sell them with a cane creek 40 series ZS44/EC44 cup headset. I’ve seen concerning poor assembly from local bike shops as well for the record, especially in Covid-sell-every-bike-we-can phase. When I worked as a student at Canadian tire I assembled the motorcycles and ATV’s with attention to detail, our bike guy who was just a teenager in the upstairs tire storage area tried his best. Like others said, walmart.com is a different thing then the store. I have a hyper dirt jump frame and the rear tire clearance is horrible, it barely fits a 2.1 maxxis dth which is basically a slick tire, it rubs every time theres any side load on the wheel. Its like they just used the same clearance from the bmx race frames that run like 1.5” tires.
