Wider decks are increasingly popular for toddlers and preschoolers, making it easier for them to remain stable on the scooter. The Razor A2 and similar scooters have very narrow decks, which some young kids find difficult to keep a sure footing on. Trick scooters are meant for rocking the half pipe and the bowl at the skatepark. With concave decks and no folding mechanism, they’re designed to take a beating through all the jumps, slides, tail whips, and inevitable crashes.
The scooter has a small button on the backside of each handlebar. When you’re standing behind the handlebars, the buttons will be right ahead of you. Push one of the buttons, then pull the closest grip away from the rest of the scooter. Repeat this with the opposite grip.Most Razor scooters can be folded without removing the grips. If you experience any problems, try pulling out the grips first. I was surprised it handled so well and offered such a comfortable ride.
This is less grippy than others, which could be a significant problem when wet, but I haven’t tested that firsthand. It’s their lightest model as of writing, at a hair under 8.4 lbs. That’s ideal for carrying into shops or on transit, for example.
Move the handlebars if they prevent the scooter from folding. Check that you pulled the handlebars off the steering column razor kick scooter as far as you can. If you have a scooter that requires you to move them, they can get in the way of the footpad.
Most electric scooter handlebars don’t adjust, although some newer models do. Razor scooters are a fun tool for anyone who wants to zip around their neighborhood in style. When you’re done riding one, you can fold it up through a simple process thanks to a couple of release levers. Razor scooters have these levers you push to collapse your ride. If you’re having a hard time doing this, check the components to ensure they’re clean and in working order.
