Bought my Lasco heater from Lowes in Mustang OK. Used the heater about 10 times MAYBE in my garage on chilly evenings. Called and they said since I had no receipt and the manufacturing date on the plug said the unit was over 5 years in age they could do nothing to help me. After looking at all these reviews I wonder if most customers are treated the same. It comes with a timer feature that lets you set it to shut off after the timer runs out. This isn’t as sophisticated as having a programmable thermostat – you’ll need to set the timer each time you want it to shut off, and you can’t set it to turn on or turn up when the timer runs out. But it means, for example, you can set it to run at night in your bedroom while you’re sleeping, and it will go off automatically in the morning after you leave.
I never heard any further, and never received any replacements. So….before doing business with Lasko Company…think about this story. In my opinion of the events, Lasko Company is NOT an honorable, decent Company.
