While we sort of wish that they would have gone with Rotomolded construction, this process would have likely greatly increased the size, weight, and cost of the cooler. The next most notable feature is the glide handle that also doubles as a butler tray. This feature is something that you will find on very few other coolers on the market and it is a great way to stand out from the crowd while having a nifty feature. And to provide additional support, there are a couple of aluminum stands on the front of the cooler.
The igloo water cooler, due to its many additional features, large size, and decent ice life, does fetch a higher asking price than most other Igloo products. For those on a tight budget or for someone who doesn’t care about the extra mobility features, there are cheaper options out there that will perform just as well in terms of ice life. But for someone who is after a truly unique, mobile, and well-performing ice chest, the asking price is more than fair. The fact that it can also be used as a tray is the real stroke of genius, though.
