Like Braun’s basic model, the Philips Series 3000 still works quite well for wet and dry shaves, but it’s not ideal for handling thick beard growth. The Series 3000 also doesn’t come with any smart features or cleaning stations and has a bulky design. The Series 5000 is going to be your next step up, offering an improved shaving experience that’s more comfortable than the Series 3000 and equipped with smartphone connectivity braun electric shavers to the Philips app. It’s much more advanced than the Series 5000, as the Series 7000 is capable of handling thicker beard growth and is built to cater to those with sensitive skin. The Series 7000 promises smartphone app capability and an optional cleaning station. After conducting our Series 9 Pro review, we found the razor cuts shaving time into a fraction of what other electric razors typically put out.
If the shaver is not marked washable, turn the item on for five to ten seconds with the blade housing removed. Use a brush, either included or purchased separately, to scrub away any additional remnants. Razor remains our favorite for everyday shaving, because it provides the perfect balance of comfort, closeness, and durability—and all at a fair price. A new, high-end manual razor is meant to duplicate the old school, hot-towel-shave experience. In the shower the Series 3 shaves near identically to when it is dry. The only difference is that the metal head glides much smoother over your skin. If you have sensitive skin that flairs up at just the thought of an electric shave then this will likely be your go to shaving method.
A disclaimer on the Mowbie website didn’t inspire much confidence in the effectiveness of these lights either. All that said, while the lights don’t seem worth it, I loved the compact size, light weight and comfort of the rotary blades, which tackled my three-day growth and maintenance shaves equally well. Since a major selling point of electric razors is their convenience, it’s important that they’re easy to use. Straightforward operation not only translates into a quicker shave — essential for mornings when time is an issue — but a safer one as well.
