But dollar for dollar, it was the best buy in comparison to all the prominent manufacturers out there and the bike rides as good as any at my level. Mongoose makes a whole range of bikes, starting at cheap ones you can buy hyper mountain bike at walmart yes, and moving upwards all the way to what is essentially a world cup DH rig. To group the higher end bikes they make in with the cheap stuff is just ignorant, they have nothing in common but their brand name and the high end mongoose stuff has always been incredibly good value given the parts spec/performance.
