To me, I think “ideal” would be 10×10 coverage area (100′), which means a “straight leg” is the way to go. I want it to be tall enough that I can walk under it (I’m 6’3″), and I would prefer it to be more sturdy yet lighter. I suppose that aluminum frames would be much lighter.
I’ve rented gear from here twice now, and have been very pleased both times. Prices are good and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
